As for cowhide shoes, they will be stronger and more durable, while sheepskin shoes have relatively low wear resistance due to their soft leather, but will be more comfortable. Both have their advantages and disadvantages. The difference mainly depends on fineness. The texture of sheepskin is delicate and soft. It looks like fish scale when viewed horizontally, and like shingles when viewed from an angle. If texture is not same, then it is mostly cowhide. (Pigskin is relatively thin and is usually used as an inner lining, so we won't discuss it)

Secondly, let's look at leather shoes and faux leather shoes. To be honest, it’s basically impossible for you to judge with naked eye from cowhide leather or artificial leather. The current PU leather and PVC leather may well imitate texture of first layer of cowhide leather. It is difficult to distinguish, therefore it is usually touched with hands and smelled with nose. The so-called hand touch means touching top. Real leather feels plump, smooth and delicate, while PU leather will be wet and sticky if covered for a long time. Genuine leather texture will feel tender and delicate. bright, and faux leather will not change or fade. In terms of smell, genuine leather shoes will have a slight animal smell, but not harsh or unpleasant, while faux leather shoes will have a strong plastic or rubber smell.

Finally, if you want, you can use fire. After a fire, ashes of natural leather crumble into powder, while artificial leather will not burn completely, and a lump of black lumps will remain
